Georgia Stathis presented an informative and well received lecture on Solar Arcs Directions. This technique calculates the difference between the positions of progressed Sun and the natal Sun. As Georgia noted, Warren Kinsman's directions for calculating solar arcs show how easy it is to start using this technique: "Perhaps the most popular method of calculating solar arcs, and, in my opinion, the easiest, is to subtract the position of the Sun on the birthday from the position of the Sun on the directed date."
