Former Kepler student Andrea Gehrz has published two new translations that bring readable language to ancient texts. The first book is an edited translation of Vettius Valens of Antioch, Anthology, Book One. Vettius Valens was a 2nd Century astrologer and his anthology is the largest treatise on astrology from that period. This work is also important because Valens traveled throughout the Hellenistic world, gathering astrological doctrines. Gehrz brings her deep understanding of Hellenistic Astrology combined with her linguistic skills to provide a very readable translation of this astrological work. I hope that the other volumes of Valens' Anthology will be coming soon.
Kepler's Chief Academic Officer, Lee Lehman, PhD, recently completed her book on mundane astrology called The Astrology of Sustainability.  She has now also finished a book on Traditional Medical Astrology: "Presented here is a step-by-step approach to teaching the logic of this field, which traditionally was part of every natal astrologer’s work. Included are natal, horary, and electional methods, as well as an extensive history of medical astrology and its uses. Dr. Lehman offers the traditional astrological methods for this system, also emphasizing that medical astrology was always an adjunct to medicine, not a complete system by itself. "
