Many thanks to joanne Conman for her very stimulating work on the Egyptina origins of Greek astrological techniques and principles. Conerning the text "The Egyptian Origins of Planetary Hypsomata", I would like to know if the numbering of the decans she proposes (Cancer 1, 2, 3 etc) is to be read sidereally or tropically. Some of the rising stars asociatetd with decans suggest a sidereal zodiac, but, for example, Regulus (prcatically on the ecliptic) is attributed to 3rd decan of Cancer, which is where it was tropically from about 900 to 200 BC. Sidereally, Regulus is generally considered to be between 5 adn 8 Leo, depending on the ayanamsa used. Many thanks for any help.
