For 100 years, theosophy and esoteric astrology have provided a path to delve deeply into spirituality and the soul. These two workshops will introduce students to this profound system.

If you missed the first classes - you can get the recording and still attend the rest of the sessions for this excellent workshop.

What is Theosophy?  The core meaning of the word is Divine Wisdom.

In the 1600’s it was a word used to describe the wisdom of divine things acquired through mystical studies.  In 1875, Madame Blavatsky built on this idea as she gathered ancient wisdom and modern ideas together to found the Theosophical Society.  This international organization had a huge impact on astrology, Western spirituality and Western culture.

Members of the Theosophical Society included authors Lyman Frank Baum, William Butler Yeats, Lewis Carroll, Kahlil Gabran, Sir Author Conan Doyle, James Joyce and Kurt Vonegut; scientists Thomas Edison, Rupert Seldrake, Jane Goddall; psychologists Roberto Assagioli, William James, Carl Gustav Jung; as well as many artists, musicians, actors, feminists, architects, politicians, other spiritual leaders and yes, astrologers – including Manly P. Hall, Max Heindel, Alice Bailey, and Alan Leo.

This workshop explores the links between theosophical thought, esoteric astrology and healing.

Week 1: Introduction to Theosophy
One of the things that came out of Theosophy is esoteric astrology, and in this week we are going to look at basic Theosophical concepts, introducing people to the system, and we will put a special emphasis on how to work with it on a daily level. We will also lay the ground work for the upcoming esoteric astrology week series.

Week 2: Introduction to Esoteric Astrology
There are two sides to astrological practice. The side that most people are familiar with, if only in passing, is commonly known as exoteric astrology. Most western astrologers focus on the cycles and patterns of the chart, how they can be understood, and how this understanding applies to one's life. There is also an esoteric side to astrology. This inner core addresses the hidden side of energies coming into this solar system. It strongly correlates to the information Alice A Bailey channeled and developed several decades ago, as well as information from Alan Leo to H.P. Blavatsky. This type of esoteric astrology focuses primarily on the seven rays and color energy.

In this week, esoteric astrology will be revealed on an introductory level so that student can better understand a lesser known yet profoundly spiritually advancing subject.

Week 3: Astrology of the Seven Rays
In this week student will compare the seven rays and their astrological correlations. How exactly do these two concepts correspond, and why? What does it tell us about our past lives and where we are at on our spiritual journey? Can we use one concept to work with the other, and if so, how? By using our chart and the zodiac at large to know our own ray makeup, we put ourselves into a position of greater self-empowerment.

Week 4: Solar Influences
Where exactly do these ray influences come from? What kind of influences are they? What can we do with them on a practical level? In this week we will look at the source of the energy of the rays and how we can channel that energy in practical way. We will also look at attuning ourselves to those energies in order to better understand our soul’s journey.

Week 5: Planetary Healing
Now that we understand the basics of the rays and how to work with their influences, let us turn our attention to the planets. Esoteric astrology highlights new insights into the more commonly understood astrological interpretations.  In this week, we will look at the planets and other influencers in a closer light. We will explore how to work with them to produce the maximum amount of healing during this lifetime.

Week 6: History & Cycles
Until now we have dealt with the microcosm of personal existence. But our life isn’t happening in a vacuum, nor is it all encompassing. By putting things into the macrocosm and examining the bigger picture, we can get a sense of what is going on in the greater year of the zodiac. As the phrase says, “those that forget the past are doomed to repeat it.” In this week we will look at history through the lens of Theosophy and Esoteric Astrology. This will also cover cycles that are continuing to play out today and influencing our evolution as a species.

Week 7: Nations and Rays Makeup
Building on week 6, we will learn how to apply this information by looking at the rays that make up different nations and peoples. This can and has, provided valuable insight  into how we as a species are evolving and growing, and it gives us insight into where things may go from here..
