Sure, an energy boost on the 21st accompanies the Sun’s entering Aries . . . but everything old is new again as unfinished business in personal and professional arenas clamors for attention. Murky communications can be due to hidden emotional agendas; temporary panic and defensiveness over unexpected emergencies; or irresponsibility with funds and obligations.
But the last week in March is prime timefor correcting mistakes, clearing up misunderstandings and charming birds off of trees.

MARCH 29. MARGARET GRAY PRESENTS THE CHIRON RETURN ($30)

Chaos and Complexity theories share a natural alignment with the spirit and practice of astrology, more so than other attempts to use astrology with the concepts of modern science. Joseph Crane explores how these theories relate to astrology in his in-depth article Astrology's Orderly Chaos. The configuration of Uranus and Pluto over the past few years and this April's long lasting Grand Cross make this an auspicious time to discuss how these theories can be of value in chart interpretation. If you happen to be in New York between now and September 8, you may want to drop by the Rubin Museum of Art. They have a wonderful exhibit covering the Art of Tibetan Medicine. "The first major exhibition to present the origins, history and practice of a millennium of visual history, Bodies in Balance explores the guiding principles of the Tibetan science of healing represented in medical paintings, manuscripts, and medical instruments." The New York Times has an excellent review noting the similarities between early Western medicine and that practiced in Tibet (includng the use of astrology).
If you are lucky enough to live somewhere with clear skies this March, the constellation Leo can be seen in the east with the bright star Regulus at its heart. "On Thursday, March 20, Regulus will participate in a rare celestial event when an asteroid passes directly in front of the star, as seen from Earth."
Peter Stockinger analyzes the upcoming lunar eclipse on April 15in his blog. Using William Lilly's work, he concludes, "[Based on] what we have established, we can conclude that the upcoming lunar eclipse will be rather benign."
Wandering through History
Feel like a blast from the past? Read the article on How the Beatles Rocked with Astrology at the Digital Journal. "If you're the fabulously wealthy Beatles pop rock singing group you open a trendy boutique on London's Baker Street and hire an in-house astrologer to advise on both personal and business-related timing issues."
Going a little farther back in time, we come to an American Prankster: Benjamin Franklin. As he started his Little Richard's Almanac, Franklin followed a time-honored tradition of making fun of the his competition, astrologer Titan Leeds. He predicted Leed's death at the conjunction of Sun and Mercury. Of course, when Leed's didn't die, Franklin continued to bemoan his impending demise in the next several issues of his almanac.
