Astromapping

The following courses cover the history and astronomy of astromapping and current applications related to geodetics, local space, relocation, and astro*carto*graphy.

Primary Instructor: Karen McCauley

In addition to her expertise in psychological astrology, Karen McCauley has been active in astro*carto*graphy for many years. She is the administrator for Continuum (dedicated to educating others about astro*carto*graphy and certifying practitioners). She also maintains the certification test.

WL220 Astromapping I

Includes historical precursors and 20th century development of astromapping and Astro*Carto*Graphy; basic astronomical principles involved in mapping techniques; relation of mapping to natal chart construction and meaning; likely themes connected with specific planet-angle combinations; interpreting difference in location relative to specific lines; understanding parans; identifying shadowed planets, analysis of natal chart to determine desirable planets to emphasize through relocation.

This course will prepare you for the certification test at Continuum in Astro*Carto*Graphy (continuumacg.net/ )

WL221 Astromapping II

Included are applications using relocation charts, local space charts, geodetics, planet lines in the home, and combining various locality techniques and progressions with Astro*Carto*Graphy and Cyclo*Carto*Graphy. This course covers a variety of applications including natal and synastry maps, relocation, mundane, relationship, rectification, midpoint, Jyotish, vocational, business and psychological astrology. Other concerns and techniques include mapping fixed stars, asteroids, dwarf planets, and issues related to the least-aspected planet and shadowed planets.
