The instructors in the Kepler educational program are known for their astrological knowledge and ability to teach in a challenging online program.

Lehman, Lee

J. Lee Lehman, PhDJ. Lee Lehman, PhD, Botany, Rutgers University. Dr. Lehman was the 1995 recipient of the Marc Edmond Jones Award and received the Regulus Award for Education in 2008. She is the author of several books on astrology, including, The Ultimate Asteroid Book, Essential Dignities, The Book of Rulerships, Classical Astrology for Modern Living, and The Martial Art of Horary Astrology. Dr. Lehman also translated from the French of Papus' Astrology for Initiates.

Lee is a well-known teacher and lecturer, not only for Kepler College.

McCauley, Karen

mccauleyKaren McCauley has an M.A. in Educational Psychology from UCLA and spent four years studying clinical psychology at California Graduate Institute. She was the Editor of ASPECTS Magazine, an astrology journal, from 1987-94. A long-time associate and friend of Joan McEvers and Marion March, she taught for Aquarius Workshops from 1976-1999 and has lectured for AW, OAA, NCGR and UAC. She has served on the AW Board, the AFAN Steering Committee and as Oregon Astrological Association Treasurer and President. Since 1993, Ms. McCauley has been administrator of Continuum, a subsidiary of the Jim Lewis Foundation, where she designs and administers the international Astro*Carto*Graphy certification exam. She currently serves as Kepler’s Director of Student Services and the Director of the Certificate Program.

McGillivray, Tamira

McGillivray TamiraTamira McGillivray holds a BA in East West Traditions &Astrology 2007 through Kepler College. She belongs to OPA (The Organization for Professional Astrologers) and is the Past President of the San Diego chapter of the National Council of Geocosmic Research (NCGR). She writes a weekly “Silverdisc” Astro Lunar Column and is the founder and editor of the Maven Newsletter. As a Meditation teacher, Usui / Karuna Reiki Master (1996), PLR/Quantum Healing certified and RYT Yoga Teacher Tamira is dedicated to using a variety of methods and energy techniques to meet her clients individual needs.

Menkes, Jacqueline

menkes jacqui smJacqui Menkes is a graduate of Kepler College, crowning her study of the celestial arts of astrology of the past forty years.  Jacqui’s longstanding passion for astrology only grew with her education at Kepler College. She lives outside of Philadelphia Pa where is has her astrological practice based out of her home. She practices an eclectic method of astrology synthesizing all the various methods of astrology that were taught at Kepler utilizing her well-rounded toolbox for her clientele to meet their various needs and demands  when it comes to the art of timing life’s cycles and events. In the past she hosted an astrological educational radio show on Blog talk radio interviewing the astrological educators.  She has taken the ISAR Consulting Skills and Ethics test and is preparing for the last part of her professional certification. She is currently serving on the AFAN Steering Committee and is in the process of helping to organize a Philadelphia chapter of the NCGR.

Miller, Kenneth

Miller, KennethKenneth Miller, BA in Anthropology, Psychology, and Religious Studies from University of Colorado: Boulder; MA in Eastern and Western Traditions: The History, Philosophy and Transmission of Astrology from Kepler College; American College of Vedic Astrology: Level II certification; Council of Vedic Astrology: Jyotish Kovid certification.

After years of having his newspaper horoscope read to him by his mom, Kenneth D. Miller made the shocking discovery that all the planets were involved in astrological judgments. At age 13 he taught himself how to cast a chart by hand. This began a lifelong interest in astrology and astrological traditions. He remained an amateur western astrologer studying with various teachers until the mid 1990s, when he was exposed to Indian (Vedic) astrology, and after a few years decided to make a mid-life career switch to become a professional astrologer.

Nalbandian, Laura

Nalbandian LauraLaura Nalbandian is a 2nd-generation astrologer, practicing and teaching astrology since 1986. She is the co-owner/coordinator of NORWAC – The Northwest Astrological Conference, established in 1984. Her family owns Astrology Et Al Bookstore. She founded and coordinated ROMAC03 (Rocky Mountain Astrology Conference); served in various positions for UAC 2002, 2008 and 2012, and presented at NORWAC, ISAR, EA, UAC, NCGR, and The River of Stars Conferences. Laura was one of the original founding board members of Kepler College, and is a Past Vice-President and President of the Washington State Astrological Association, and is currently serving as the WSAA Treasurer. Laura has lectured throughout the United States. In addition, she has been on radio and internet radio.

Newberg, Enid

Enid NewbergEnid Newberg earned a BA from the Evergreen State College and an MA from Antioch University in Whole Systems Design. An astrologer since 1973, she first joined Kepler College as a board member in 1993, and was president when the college first opened in 2000 through the end of 2001. In November 2004, she rejoined Kepler College as the Registrar and Director of Student Services. Enid also has an extensive background in information systems and online learning. In July 2006, she was re-appointed President of Kepler College.

Petty, Kate

Petty Kate 150Kate Petty's lifelong love for astrology has led her to practice a number of different systems including Symmetrical (Uranian), Hellenistic, Early Medieval, Indian, and Visual astrology. Her most recent focus combines Symmetrical and Traditional techniques, keeping an eye on mundane physical realities. Through her website she publishes a list of monthly antiscia and articles on current events, and provides one-to-one online mentorship. She's a former President/Vice-President of the Washington State Astrological Association. Kepler Instructors are chosen for their expertise in academic and astrological knowledge and for their ability to effectively teach what they know to others in an online environment.

They must be able to produce quality instructional materials that enhance learning by using multiple strategies and approaches. They need to understand how to work with students remotely, and to develop the trust and respect of their students and colleagues.

They also need to stay up-to-date on new developments and examine the interplay of the new and old. And they must be willing acknowledge their own biases so they can present their students with multiple perspectives.
