Astrologers are familiar with the 12 signs of the solar zodiac – Aries, Taurus, Gemini and so on. But did you know there's also a 28-sign lunar zodiac? In India lunar zodiac signs are called naksatras, but in the West they're called Mansions of the Moon. In Arabic and Renaissance astrology, lunar mansions were considered an important tool for predictive, electional and magical astrology. In this lecture, Austin-based astrologer Donna Woodwell will explain the astronomy of the mansions and explore how to use them in electional astrology and chart interpretations. She'll also share the traditional interpretations of the mansions, as well as her own modernized mansion images.
