Students who want to register for a class can simply sign up before the term begins. Students can take a single class, an entire certificate or a full diploma. Certificates consist of 2 or 3 classes focusing on a particular topic area, with each class taking 10 weeks to complete. Click here to see our catalog of classes.

For example, the Relationships & Counseling certificate consists of three 4-unit courses that focus on developing counseling skills and applying those skills to working with clients on relationship issues connected to spouses, children, friends, or partners.

Taking one class per term, it takes 9 months to complete the entire certificate. An individual class is $530.00, so the entire certificate of 3 classes would cost $1,590.00.

Similar to the college credit, a unit is a measure of the time required to successfully work through the material covered. Our classes are in-depth, so expect to spend 2-3 hours per week per unit.

Depending on reading and comprehension skills, distance learning students can easily spend as much time studying as they would in a traditional residential college. But learning online gives students more flexibility to schedule study time around the requirements of a busy lifestyle.

Distance learning is not for everyone. In preparation for Kepler College's online learning program, prospective students should consider the following questions:

Your computer should meet the following minimum specifications:

Minimum Hardware Requirements

  • An Internet connection is required: Cable modem, DSL, or better is highly recommended (if this is not available in your area, then there may be additional charges to provide course materials in a CD format, rather than on-line).
  • Your computer should be a minimum of a 1GHz CPU with 2 GB of RAM, at least 3 Gig of free hard drive space, and, optionally, a DVD drive. A computer microphone and headset is required and a webcam is highly recommended.
